Trendy.

So, I've wanted Doc Martens for quite sometime, and I finally decided to get them.
It kinda sucks because now they are super trendy, and I don't wanna be super trendy.
I dunno. At least I'm not getting the standard issue Docs like the ones that Delias are selling.

I'm getting these awesome ones.

I really don't mind being trendy.
I'm just crazy.

Six Words.......

Four Dollar Dolce And Gabbana Skirt!

When I found this skirt I almost peed my pants.
Its in perfect condition, and it fits.
I think it was waiting for me.
3 for $12 is my new favorite thrift store
The Thrifting Gods Have Smiled on Me.

Thrifting with my Mom. Two thumbs up.

On Labor day, My mom suggested that we go thrifting, because I needed to do something more productive than sleeping.
I wasn't expecting to find anything, because I've hit a thrifting dry-spell in the last couple of weeks. But we went, and I found some pretty great stuff.

Vests:

"the Ferris Buller Vest"

"the Henry the Eighth vest"

" the Micheal Jackson vest"

Sweaters:

"the perfect (but itchy) creme t-shirt sweater"

"the gorgeous berry sweater"

And one other thing, but that deserves its own post.

Back from the Beach

So I just got back from Rehoboth Delaware, and I really didn't have much fun at the beach. But I did have fun mini golfing, going to funland, and going deep sea fishing
(which was kinda boring
with the exception of the sexy shirtless guys aboard and the dolphins I saw).
But enough about that stuff, time to get to the clothes.
I only got to do some minor shopping, but got a few things.
I didn't get any amazing life altering pieces, but I got some nice basics.

Black Studded Platforms- Old Navy $15

Photobucket
White Sweater- Thrifted J. Crew $4.99

Photobucket
Striped Shirt- Thrifted Fossil $2.99

Photobucket
Creme Boatneck Shirt- Thrifted Club Monaco $2.99

PS. My camera sucks and I grabbed this stuff out of my suitcase to photograph them, so sorry that the pictures suck, and the clothes are wrinkled.

A Little Black Dress to Call My Own.

I'd have a hard time finding dresses (in this care little black ones) that I absolutely love, at a price that I can actually afford.
So I decided to take matters into my own hands, I searched TONS of patterns in stores and online, and I finally found the guide for the perfect dress Here
It turns into about 15 different things if you're really creative.
I'm proud to say I made it myself, and that this was my first attempt.
This is my favorite variation.

First Post

I'm really not sure how to start a blog, but I'm gonna try.

I'm Kyla, I 'm a 17 year old rising high school senior.
I like clothes, I like fashion, I like making clothes, and I like thrifting.
I go to an arts school, for guitar (classical and jazz) and singing (jazz).
